About the Food Science Association of Middle Tennessee State University

The purpose of this club is to organize students from various science concentrations in an environment where we can discuss/learn/think critically about how science applies to all aspects of the food system and examine how we can make improvements, or at the very least, improve our understanding. 

We have a strong emphasis on advocacy and research. Activities include, but are not limited to: 

Cooking

cooking experiments / demonstrations in the Ellington Human Sciences Foods Lab 

Sustainability

building a sustainable garden/farming concept 

Education

guest lecturers/professionals from the food science industry
